lloyd elliott information

I'm just wondering if there is anywhere i can get a list of what is offered by Lloyd Elliott, such as all cams with specs, heads with flow #'s and the like, and any package information with prices. Its winter so there will be no projects for me, car is in storage, but i gotta start looking for something to keep my busy come spring. If anyone can give me a link or and list or any information on this let me know. thanks!

Re: lloyd elliott information

From an email from Lloyd:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LE1 cam pulls from 2000 to 6200 RPM and should make 370-390 RWHP with matching heads, 30 lb injectors, 52 TB, 1 3/4 LTs, No cats, good tuning, etc. The heads are ported using stock valves, performance valve job, back cut valves, CM 612 springs, retainers and locks, milling, cleaning and assembly. These heads flow about 255/180 with a 195 cc intake port and stock LT1's flow about 215/150 with a 170 cc intake port.

Heads and cam are $1100 (plus shipping). This has the RPM range of the Hot Cam, CC 305, etc. but makes more HP and TQ over these cams through out the entire RPM range. This will work with any gear and converter but the track times will be better with a stall and some gear.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LE2 cam pulls from 2200 to 6500 RPM and should make 400-420 RWHP with matching heads, 30-36 lb injectors, 52-58 mm TB, 1 3/4 LT's, no cats, GOOD tuning, etc. The heads are ported and machined for larger Ferrea 2.00/1.56 valves, matching springs (Comp 987/977 springs and Ti retainers or Bee Hive springs and CM retainers depending on lifter type and EXACT cam specs), locks, locators, milling, cleaning and assembly. These will flow about 270/190 with a 205 cc intake port.

Heads and cam are $1650 (plus shipping) and will need GOOD tuning. This has the RPM range of the CC 306 cam but will make more HP and TQ at peak and across the board. The REAL difference will be the LE2 cam will make TQ in the 2500 RPM range and the cc 306 doesn't start until way past this.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LE3 cam pulls from 2600 to 6800 RPM in a 350 (2300 to 6500 RPM in a 383) and should make 410 to 430 RWHP with matching heads, 36-42 lb injectors, 58 TB or mono blade, GOOD tuning, etc, etc, etc. These heads are ported, have larger valve seats installed and use 2.05/1.60 valves, Comp 29120 BIG Bee Hive springs and Titanium retainers. This type of RPM requires a lot more spring pressure and will also need Comp R lifters to handle the spring pressure.

Heads and cam are $1850 (plus shipping) and will need GOOD tuning. This cam is similar to the GM 847 cam as far as RPM range but makes about 10 more HP at peak and starts making HP sooner and makes more HP and TQ across the board. Needs at least 3.73 gears and 3000 converter to work well in a 350. Pretty much a racing cam for the 350 or a good street cam that will act like the LE2 in a 383.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone has a different opinion about what is streetable and what a safe RPM limit is for their engine.

If you are looking for just cylinder heads and with out a cam, the heads are priced at . . . . .

$750 for the LE1 heads only
$1300 for the LE2 heads only
$1500 for the LE3 heads only

Give me a call and I can help you pick a combo that you will be happy with.

stage 2 flow #s

.200 136/102
.300 192/137
.400 238/164
.500 265/183
.600 271/188

locks, locators, milling, cleaning and assembly. These will flow about
270/190 with a 205 cc intake port.

Heads and cam are $1600 (plus shipping) and will need GOOD tuning.
This has the RPM range of the CC 306 cam but will make more HP and
TQ at peak and across the board. The REAL difference will be the LE2
cam will make TQ in the 2500 RPM range and the cc 306 doesn't start

------------------------------------------------------------

LE3 cam pulls from 2600 to 6800 RPM in a 350 (2300 to 6500 RPM in a
383) and should make 410 to 430 RWHP with matching heads, 36-42 lb
injectors, 58 TB or mono blade, GOOD tuning, etc, etc, etc. These
are the same heads from above but with Comp 977 springs instead of
the 987's. These are stronger and will also need Comp R lifters to
handle the spring pressure.

Heads and cam are $1700 (plus shipping) and will need GOOD tuning.

Re: lloyd elliott information

As far as lift on my cams, the LE 1 is in the .560/.570 lift range and the LE2 and LE3 cams are in the .600 lift range.

I also FINALLY have my web site up and even though doesn't contain everything I wantyet, I wanted to ayt least have "something" up and ruynning.

More info like flow tests, pics, etc will eventually make theirt way on the site but it will probably be sveral months before I get to add more stuff since my busy season is now starting.

Re: lloyd elliott information

Hey thanks for the reply Lloyd, Do you have the address or a link to your site yet? The LE1 has that much lift eh? When I do get ready to do heads and cam, I know for sure I will definately go with one of your cams! What's the duration look like? Thanks again!

Re: lloyd elliott information

Lloyd,

Those prices look good and the power and responce from the guys on here has been real good, so I have a few questions for you...

Are the prices listed here and on the website for purchased heads or does it include a core charge of some sort?

How much for purchasing outright, and how much for porting heads sent in to match your cam?

If the prices are for purchasing the heads outright, what casting are they based off of (like year of LT1, I heard you can do a better port job on older castings, pre 95)?

Sorry for posting this instead of emailing you, but I figured other people might have similar questions and I am trying to cut down on you answering these 800 times!

Can you make any packages that would work well with a nitrous setup?

Re: lloyd elliott information

all of the prices are based on using the cores the customer sends in.

The 95 and older castings are a lil thicker and end up a lil better. The 561's (late 96 and early 97) are the thinnest. Not really a problem on a stock valved set up but is a lil more restrictive with larger valves.

The LE1 haeds with stock valves usually flow in the 255/180 cfm range.
