I didn't have to raise mine for my headers, but they weren't LTs.
I'd try to see if you could get them in with out raising the engine

If a side needed to be raised I would think it would most definantly be the passanger side

You shouldn't have to raise the motor but you will probably need to remove the steering shaft.

I'd try to put the headers in before removing abunch of stuff

If you haven't already SOAK the manifold bolts in a GOOD lubricant!!!!!!!!!

BTW: The driver side can go from the top if I remember right and the passanger has to go from the bottom

i had to jack the drivers side up too. I messed around for more than an hour trying to get the header in without jacking it up but in the end i jacked it up. It took less than 20 min. to do so.

I was able to slide mine up the passenger side (from th bottom) no prob. the drivers side I tried putting in from the top couldn't do it tried from the bottom, no dice. then I tried from the top again and with a little finesse they slid in. I didn't remove anything besides the 2 rear plugs on the drivers side and the alternator on pass.
