SLP D.C. Headers Installed HORRIBLE SMELL!

Ok ive waited 2months now. I got my SLP dualcat headers ceramic coated with that 2000* blk stuff. Well after I installed these headers Ive had this horrible burning smell. I figured ok ill wait a week or so see if it goes away but its been 2months now and i still got this smell... I dont seem to smell it when it about 1/4 up but once it hits above a 1/4 on the temp gauge watch out your eyes are gonna burn ya, and ur gonna get a head ache... I found one problem was the heater hose that runs from the firewall along side of the pass. side melted i fixed that.. but i still got the smell could it be the coating and I have grounds to take back the headers to have them recoated with the regular sterling silver stuff... Also this blk 2000* stuff is supposed to be the best, but IMO it stinks... No pun intended... Let me know guys.

i'd make sure the headers aren't melting the heater box.

I have the same problem with my slp headers,it happens at slow speeds not at highway speeds,it is a coolant smell, from what i was told because the headers are so close to the heater box is the cause, while lookin through an slp catalog they do sell a heater box thermo blanket that comes with the headers but since i bought mine used i did not get it,let me know what you find out? Thanks
