Question Slp Cai

I have decided on purchasing and installing the SLP CAI and i just have a few quick question:
1) Is it a must that I also purchase and install a 1LE elbow?
2) Is it very dificult to insatll?
3) Are there any modifications I must do prior to instalation for it to fit?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.......

You don't need anything else, it is just a plug-and-play type of mod. Take the stock one out, put the new one in.

Cool!
so it's just unplug the factory air filter box and plug the new filter and tube?

Also remove the lower plastic splash guard to install the filters.
One thing , wax up the tubes real good before install for bling.

Well i don't know about it only taking 20min. The slp unit isn't that easy to install at least it wasn't for me. Because since it has 2 filters on the bottom that go right next to eachother it is hard to tighten them up. There isn't much room under there. But as long as you follow the instructions it isn't very hard. As for the 1le elbow. No you don't need it. It wouldn't even fit for me with my slp cai.

How often do you think the filters should be cleaned?

The club is having a dyno day, so i was thinking of putting this on in the parking lot after my first pull to see the changes if any, on the second pull.

Thanks, again guys.

What part of cali are you from? The filters should be cleaned probably every 10 to 15 thousand miles. I don't think that you will have enough time to do it between pulls. Unless you are gonna be there for awhile. It is a easy job once you have done it one time but for me i ran into a few problems. It was also extremely hard for me to tighten the damn filters up. But if you do end up doing it between pulls let me know how much of a difference it made.

Southern Cali. LA area
There should be enough time, I think there will be like 10+ cars dyno'd. Should be in mid Oct. I'll let you know.
Hopefully I can get some of the guys in the club to help me out.
