Just out of curiosity, have you tried running with the full block off plate? If so, do you get that nice deep tone back, or is it still a bit raspy. I want to get LT's, but would also like to keep the "nice" tone. Anyone?

Cheers Roman
no I guess I could do that, always had it wide open and loved it, till the longtubes and cat removal. My second fbody here with Borla, had a 97 TransAm previously but stock pre-cat exhaust components and loved the Borla. Longtubes on 90% of the cat-backs out there have tone issues especially when they add LT's after the catback was already done. Reason is most ppl install a catback first then do headers later on and realize it sounds different (what I did on this car). I will try the blockoff plates and see what that does. I added the Dynatech 3" cones and those helped a lot a little bit. I take it you have Borla now or something similar?

What's up SSgurl We haven't met. But anyway i would not get the borla exhaust---spend it on that other stuff you mentioned. It would be more for sound than anything else. Plus that's not the best out there anyway.........drop me a line and i will give you the secret--to the best exhuast performance and sound

I disagree, some people like Borla, it has a nice sound many enjoy as a catback, it changes with longtubes, gets a little raspier the same as most catbacks on the market, it's not something that cannot be tuned with a little research though. I've yet to see you make a useful post other than knocking Borla lol...get over it already

As i've stated, it's nice stock........which you appear to be by your sig.

I'm over it, and not by any means isolated with my opinion of borla on modified cars, Have fun with your borla bud
