Slotting TPS for BBK 58mm

Just wanted to ask how many of you had to actually slot the holes on the TPS to adjust your BBK 58mm TB.

It all looks really close to the edges.

Just thought I would ask before I installed it.

Thanks!

Re: Slotting TPS for BBK 58mm

I had to slot mine on my 52mm. I put it on first before slotting it though, mine was at .90v before i started adjusting the stop screw out so I had to slot it to get it in line. The nice little instructions that came with the throtle body showed me where to slot it, but unfortunately they told me to slot it in the wrong direction so I had to take it back off and slot the other way! if you need to decrease the voltage you want it so the top of the senso rotates forward which means slotting the back side of the holes. it doesn't take much to get it in line. I had to adjust my stop screw out a little to keep it from sticking. Then I had to get my IAC #'s down by letting the car idle and adjusting the stop screw to open the blades a little then rotating the TPS to get those #'s back in line going back and forth between the two. You can only go so far between the stop screw and adjusting the TPS because the computer sees it as you are pushing the pedal by the increased voltage from teh TPS.

Good Luck
Richard

Eww.

Well, I have heard some had to slot, some didn't. I don't look forward to all these guessing games! I didn't have to slot on my 52mm though. Weird. Yeah, these instructions are a joke. Terrible drawing. Took me a sec!

I am sure my stubborn car is going to LOVE this. Like pulling teeth.

Thanks Richard.
