Slight vibration in steering wheel when I turn at low RPM

I was Autocrossing my Trans AM, I spun out and the Serpentine belt popped off. I put it back on and everything seems to be working fine except for a vibration in the wheel when I turn at low RPM (like when pulling out of a parking spot). Someone told me it was just air in the system from turning when the belt was off and that it would go away. Is that accurate? Because I have driven about 40 miles and it still does it.

My steering feels perfect other than the vibration.

The compressor has been making a metallic rattling noise since I bought the car. But it only does it once in a while, it hasn’t gotten any worse, and it goes away when I turn on the AC. I turned the compressor with me hand when I had the belt off and it turned freely and felt smooth. So I don’t think that is the culprit.

Also, the tensor felt nice and tight then I put the belt back on.

Anyone have any ideas?
Is there a poor mans way of testing the belt tension?

Thanks,
-Jason

check the p/s pressure hose. thes have been know to cause a shudder feeling in the power steering. it may not be a problem you can see by looking at it but it may be collapsed on the inside.

I had noticed this when I first took my car out of storage this year and well after doing some work over the winter I assume pushed the line and well it had a crink in it. I straightened the line out and the problems were gone It is the rubber line that goes from the bottom on the Power Steering Fluid tank to the PS pump, right behind the battery
