Slight stumble at idle after headers.

Slight stumble at idle after headers.
Installed headers a couple months back, but have only driven it under 24 hours since then because I was at school till spring break. Now, only tonight I am hearing a slight muffled popping noise at idle, the RPMs seem to fluctuate, but barely. IF it was a misfire, would SES blink - or would it not since I don't have O2's programmed out yet (so would it just hold steady and never blink for misfire till that code is clear?).
Either way, it seems only at idle, MAYBE a slight hesitation if I am in gear (2,3,4) and adding gas at lower RPM.
No wires are touching headers, nor do they appear burnt, of course I'm sure there is something somewhere. Or at least hope so - does this sound like wires? What exactly else could it be (don't mention O2s). Plugs are new, and hopefully in well enough. What typically does a misfire sound like? ALSO, I drove around some today with cutout at the axle open, could this be false knock? Any info is greatly appreciated...in the mean time, I should probably start getting those OVCs in.

Re: Slight stumble at idle after headers.
Part of what I was perceiving as a stumble after header install was actually the right side header rubbing on the A-Arm. Obviously this won't fix the popping or RPM fluctuations but you might want to check for it anyway.
I reccomend using boot protectors with your OVC install if you don't have them already. Summit sells some (TAY-2561), and I found them easy to install while I was assembling my wires(in fact I couldn't get them to slip over the boots so I don't even know if there's another way).

Wires don't look bad....hope kit helps anyways. Yea Ill buy protection in the future, but I need the car running tonight - maybe I'll drive over to Speed Inc.
