slight problem after cam

I did some motor work a couple weeks ago. Xe 224/230 cam, SLP shorty headers, Random Tech converter, and an opti. conversion. When I first start it up it runs smooth. After about five minutes it has a kind of stumble. I'm assuming it's engine temp. that does it. It will do it in any gear. It kind of surges while keeping a constant speed at any RPM. Again, when it's cold it runs perfectly smooth. I have no engine lights and it feels real strong, but it just isn't perfect. Any ideas? Sensors?

Thanks,

Andy

Before tuning when my motor got hot it would run worse at idle. Pretty much the same symptoms you have. Do you have a tune for that setup?

Since you messed with your headers i would guess that the o2's are your problem. The computer only uses the o2's after the motor is warm (closed loop). Check you connections and remember that the o2 wires are very sensitive!! Hope this helps.

PCMForless did the programming. As for the O2's, I wonder about the wire extensions that I did. Thanks,

If you did it yourself that may be the problem. They make expensive o2 extenders for a reason. Get it scanned and look at o2 volts, that should tell you.

I extended my O2 sensor wire. Soldered all the connections two years ago and haven't had a problem since.

My guess is the o2's. I would get the o2 wire extenders and then see if you still have the problem.

Where can I get the best deal on O2 extensions?
