Skip Shift in 6 Speeds

I know that GM put the SKip shifts in the 94 LT1 6 Speeds but did they put it in any other years. If so which ones and how do you get it off?

it was put in 94-2002. you can get it off by going to radio shack and buying a resistor and place it in the plug. Im not exactly sure on which resistor, maybe someone will chime in and tell.

You can also buy a pre-made part from various vendors for less than $15 last I checked. It's about the easiest mod you will ever do and never look back

Yeah its a very easy fix. I bought mine from summit. Pretty cheap. The skip shift light is still there but i don't even notice it anymore.

You pull the harness plug off the skip shift solenoid, and insert a 2.2Kohm, 1/2 watt resistor in the harness plug, tape it up. Finished.
