is there any way to disconnest the skip shift feature. i have to get the rpm above 3000 to be able to shift into 2nd otherwise it takes me to 4th and then i get a jerk cause the rpms are too low for 4th. it's a pain when i'm city driving cause i can't accelerate too quickly due to traffic. so caould i get rid of the skip shift feature so how?

 

there is a way to insert a resistor into the plug off the tranny.

but it's easier just to buy the skip shift eliminator from either SLP, Jet or one of the other companies.

you can go to radio shack and just buy a resistor (just search for skip shift eliminator) and the whole process takes a few minutes and less than a dollar.
