Single plane intake's on LT1's
Single plane intake's on LT1's
How may people are doing/or thinking of the singal plane intake on the LT1 and have it working with the OE pcm/or After market..
Pro's and Con's of going to this set up
Cost
What intake did you go with
Will it fit under the stock hood
Alot of people are talk of doing this, there has to be some good R&D work on this now

Man you are full of questions arent you
As far as single planes i have looked a lot into this. I was planning on converting a set of Gen1 Brodix -10 heads and using a single plane... but i dont have a beater right now to where I could address all the little problems and headaches that would arise with something that custom. So I'm doing something else

Anywho, Talk to Bret if you are serious about converting one. He did one for Jason Short. You have to do a lot of work to one since most dont have injector bungs in them. Edelbrock has one listed to come out the Victor E Efi model. With bungs already in it, so there is less work that Bret or someone would have to do. But when i checked about 2 months ago they said it was quite a few months before the intake would even be mass produced and sold by them...
It is definately a great thing to do, and id do it.
Then you come to the throttle body. You have two routes you can go. First is a 4 bbl which would be easiest as you just plop it on...

but then you come to hood/cowl clearance issues with a filter or duct system comming off of it. I had Jeff make me a custom duct that 'should' clear the cowl/hood. Which would be the easiest setup i think-

The other option is using a 90* or 110* elbow from someone like Wilson-

And then having something fabbed up to mount a ls1or lt1 style TB to it.
Also check out Jeff's thread on his single plane results-
