Are there any single coil valve springs out there that i can use with my 224/230? I don't want anything over kill though.

I hear alot of good things about the "beehive" springs by comp cams. But they are a bit too pricey for my likings. 250 is outragous if you ask me. I paid 85 for my comp cam 986's.

The reason those 986s aren't working out for me is becuase on the 1993 heads i'm using now(with my new engine), the inner spring does not fit over the valve seal. I either need to:
A- Get new springs to clear the seals.
B- Find out if the valve guides are the same in a 93 as the 94, and get the same style/size valve seals so the same 986's will clear them.
C- swap the heads i was usign on my 94 engine and jus be done with it. But that might suck now that i have the headers installed.

Any suggestions?
