Question Re: Simple Question About Cylinder Head Swap

TireMarx723, throw a fellow board member a clue here, what was the name and/or brand of that little "plastic disk" you used??? Also, where did you get it from??? Does AutoZone, Pep Boys, Murray's, etc., carry anything like this??? Any additional info would be very helpful. TIA

Plus the plastic is non harmful, do yourself a favor and get that
I almost cried when the guy at Kragen looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him about this disk and he looked at me like I was nuts!!! Where did you get this magical disk, I need it both for my gaskets and to clean the carbon.

Thanks!!!

its called roloc disc i think, or some call it a wizzy disc..its a green or yellow plastic disc, DO NOT get the one with sandpaper on it. Its small, and has multiple (50-80) 'studs' of plastic formed in a circle

I didnt buy it anywhere, my friend had it at his shop...its a 3m product thoughi believe...i cant find any part #'s anywhere right now though

Re: Simple Question About Cylinder Head Swap

found a pic....go here and scroll down to "roloc bristle discs"

http://www.tapecase.com/tc/prodASP/Discs.asp

I was using it for gaskets, then after doing one piston with a razor blade and getting done with it in about 30min..the light bulb went off, and i finished the other 5 pistons in 20min if even....no more using razor blades on gaskets or stuff like this for me. U need to find a air drill or adapter that this disc will work with though

Re: Simple Question About Cylinder Head Swap

If you know anybody that works at a automoblie shop they should have a tool truck that runs and they will have them.I've seen them on both Mac and Snap-On.Come to think of it though I did buy one at Napa one time.
Good luck.
