Ok you know when you get work done on your heads and they say it cost "$400+core" or "whatever + the core charge". what is the core or what does it mean when they say "the core is refundableif your core is acceptable" Im in the dark. help me.

 

you send them your heads and they send you another pair already ported,that way you dont have to wait for yours to get ported.The core would be your heads if they are in good shape they are considered an acceptable core.

 

You give them the part (ie. your heads) that is the core. If you buy a new starter, you give them your old one to rebuild, thats a core.

When u buy ur new heads ur gunna pay $400 more than the advertised price. You get the heads and bolt them on in place of yours. Then you take yours back and get your $400 back.

works the same for remanufactured parts at the local auto store.
