Well more than likely you will have white smoke coming out the tail pipes and it usually has a "sweet" smell to it. You could also have some overheating problems, loosing coolant or your oil might be a milky color. You may have one or all of these signs. Mine only had the smoke out the pipes one, I caught it early though.

no smoke commin gout..no overheating, but i had my gf drive it a while ago and she didnt know about the manual fan switch and it overheated and started spraying out coolant..and this was about 4-5 weeks ago maybe more...you think that coulda caused the heads to barley warp? but soon as it overheated she turned it off...and parked it and let it sit for a good 3 hours...then i had to come get it.....
but im about to have it checked out by a guy i kow who lives down the street..also my oil i think is like 1 1/2 qrts low
so no wi have to go get oil...

With overheating it is possible to warp or even crack heads. You can have somebody do a leak down check and that might get you going in the right direction

Do a compression test. That will tell you right quick. Also pressure check the cooling system.

By looking at the picture the oil staining around the head / block mating surfaces are pretty normal for a higher mileage car. Oil tends to follow those around if you spill it or valve covers leak a tiny bit. From the looks nothing unusual. If you follow a post i did earlier about an opti seal leak. I bougt a UV dye kit about $20 for the dye with light and glasses. You can put it in the oil and water and see if / where it is leaking. I see you are a Texan, if you are metro Ft Worth you can borrow my UV setup. Bets $20 I ever spent on a tool. If you do it. Do coolant first, then oil.

lol yea....well about 4-5 months ago i got my cam installed along with lifeters, springs, pushrods and surfaced heads and a smaller head gasket, new timing chain and seals and front cover gaskets...for some reason it looks like a front main seal leak again...i dont think it is i think it is just running down or something cause that stuff was only put on about 5 months ago..and im 1 1/2 qrts low on oil? wtf is with that?

It may not be the crank seal, again UV kit dye does wonders. It may br opti and or WP seal. check a thread i started. I wont beat it to death but I installed the WP and opti seal wrong by using grease on the seal surfaces.

It may not be your ownly problem 1 quart in how many miles? After an over heat i ALWAYS change the oil. Part of the staining my be from overheat antifreeze as well.
Good Luck
