Does anyone know if the side view mirrors are interchangeable between the Camaros and the Firebirds?

 

i would figure both slide right behind the rubber piece so it probably should fit
but i have to say, it will look strange since the camaro mirrors are made to flare out and blend in with the fender whereas the firebirds/trans ams just sit by themselves
