I recently just put my motor back together and today I noticed that the accessory belt had shredded off 2 of the 6 ribs. I started dis assembly to determine the cause and noticed that alternator and the power steering pump do not line up with the ac compressor and crank hub. The alternator and power steering pump seem to be siting towards the back of the engine by about 2 ribs. Is there any spacers that go between the block and the accessory bracket? currently i have the bracket bolted directly to the block.

Found the problem. The hub for the harmonic balancer was not seated all the way.
