shouldn't do WOT in 5th? WTF?
Posting on another board a guy was talking about changing gears, and another guy replied going WOT in 5th and 6th is hard on the transmissions...6th gear maybe because of its tall gearing, not to mention it eats up bearings...but I"ve never heard ANY issues going WOT in 5th can cause...I think this guy was mistaken...or am I?

i would say its harder on the motor than anything. If your in 5th or 6ths just cruising at highway speeds and you punch it you will be lugging the motor especially in 6th with stock gearing. When i pulled my motor to put in my new fresh one the motor had the bearings beat out of it and a broken main cap. I attribute this to my car being daily driven on the highway by a woman for 80k. After seeing all that damage i never put my car in 6th on the highway until i got gears and i try to always keep the car in the 2k+ range.
