should i use gasket seal when mounting elec water pump on stock housing

basically what the title says. just wondering if i should use gasket seal when mounting it to stock housing not to the block itself. any opinions are greatly appreciated.

I used Ultra Blue Permatex. No problems.

I went ahead and put it on both sides of the gasket when I put my pump into my housing. Better safe than sorry I guess

My personal favorite is Ultra Black, but you typically don't need a lot unless you're filling large gaps. I used just a thin coating on my EWP when I put it in the housing.

Not to mention the black blends in better than blue or copper unless those are the colors of your motor.

I just used the rubber o-ring that came with the pump.
