I would say yes. The type depends on the temp (outside)that you are going to be running. Normally I run a 10 weight but now that I am stationed up here in Wisconsin and the winter temps are normally in the single digits I went to the 0 weight. Good Luck. I also use Mobil 1.

I've got a question... I'm running 15-40 (Delo 400) in my Lt1 with 101k. I know this is kind of a dumb question, but is this to viscous? I ask because I have what sounds like an intermittent ticking lifter.

In my opinion, the Delo400 15w-40 is probably one of the best non-synthetic oils you can run and is perfectly safe for your LT1. I really doubt it is causing any ticking.

My buddy had a 97 Z28, a4, he switched to synthetic when he had about 95k, and he started to have oil leaks everywhere after he switched. I dont know if this has happened to anybody else, just thought I would let you know.
