should i replace the bearings before h/c

okay heres the deal,
head gasket has been out for the last 500 miles. very negligent and havent got it fixed because i thought it was the intake manifold gasket. but probably have burned a total of 3 quarts of antifreeze in that time. drained the oil and couldnt find any water in there. never even ran warm and never got low on antifreeze. well now that i know its head gaskets im going to fix it and figured id upgrade while in there(cc305, 1.6rr, springs). but after all these posts about bearing failure should i replace the crank bearings while im at it. have 105,000 miles and dont need the headache of bearings going out afterwards. but id rather not pull the engine if i dont have to. plus would just replacing the bearings give me the insurance, or would something else just fail.
sorry for the long post, id like to hear ideas
thanks

You've got just as much chance, if not more, of the bearings going out if you swapped them than if you let them be. Just be **** as hell about being clean when you swap it. Be careful installing the cam and change the oil religiously after it gets running.
