Should I make any changes to my oil?

Is there maybe some type of oil I can use that will help protect my block a little better now after I had coolant in my old oil? I'm not positive if any damage occured, there was a little bit of metal shavings in there with the coolant, however it could have been from when I was drilling some holes and didn't cover up properly. It seems to run fine as of now. I know if there was any damage I probably can't "repair" it by changing the oil type, but maybe something that will definately improve the protection in case I did do some damage.

Thanks

What I did on my friends car after I had to replace the head gaskets (coolant in oil), I just changed the oil about 3 times in a row untill it all cleared up. As far as oil type I dont think it would make much of a diff.

Yeah, I'm going to keep changing it until it clears out, I just wasn't sure if maybe there was a better option as far as protection or something.
