should i judt build my own?

hey guys. i cant really find a brand new steam tube for under 80 dollars. that's not including banjo bolts and all that. so i was wondering, should i just make my own out of 1/4'' russell tubing or something? if you guys made your own, could i please have specs. I really appreciate all the help you give me.

Call up samtaylor out of pensacola, FL. Get the parts dept. Talk with Mr. Chromer. If he can't get you the part then it doesn't exist anymore. He did say that the Bango Bolts were no longer being produced but he did have a few in stock last year this time. Not sure on the steam pipe as he still had that piece in stock at the time. O and you won't find OEM parts anywhere else cheaper 99.99999999% of the time.

Start with Shoebox's page. He has the part #:

http://shbox.com/1/Parts.htm

When you find the part # for the 94 part, including bolts and seals:

1993-1994 steam pipe behind heads, incl bolts, seals and hose to radiator 10108635
..... look at Shoebox's "where to buy parts":

http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#Dal_and_Jason

....or check gmpartsdirect.com. That will tell you if the part is still made, the GM list price, and their price (shipping is extra and often expensive).

You would have found the part for $46.57. Cromer should be able to beat that, or charge less for shipping.
