Should I get stock replacement vavle seals? Or is there something better?

I would imagine to some extent, there can't be a huge difference. Maybe there are some aftermarket seals that will last longer, but is there anything wrong with replacing mine with the stock replacement seals? Thanks

I don't see why not, when I broken a couple of valve springs I needed to replace a couple of seal that I got from NAPA for 1.88 each. They seem to hold up very well, also I've heard the rubber seals are better then nylon/plastic type.

The seals to get for superior longevity and sealilng ability would be labeled as 'viton' valve stem seals. Consider them a high performance seal. Far superior to ordinary rubber seals. Teflon valve stem seals are not a good choice for street engines that see frequent use.

And btw the viton seals are the ones that come with pretty much every gasket kit including the ones from GM

Yep just picked these up myself. They had to get them in but it took less than 24hrs. Picked them up today and I'll throw them on Mon. morning.
