Should i Change this????
I have an A4 tranny with 4.11 gears, i was in 4th at 5 grand and i was almost maxin out the engine , i wus doin prolly like 130's i think i dont know, becuase my speedometer was never calibrated to the gears. Does anyone know what the top speed of a 94 LT1 z28 with a A4 and 4.11's is ? and wha speed i was prolly doing at that rpm (5 k in 4th). lol it looked crazy becuase my speedo was dumped completely.
I want to change them because i dont go to teh track really so it dosnet serve me any purpose havin them. I want punch off the line and good top end . should i go with 3.42's or 3.73's does any one no there top speeds on a4's?
Thanks guys with the gears im clueless , i appreciate any input.

3.73s is the common gear of choice w/an auto car. They allow you to get maximum rpm out of your car w/o having to shift into 4th at the track. o/d is not a gear you want to be flooring the car in because it can break the tranny very easy. So yea I say switch the gears out to 3.73s.

check this out: http://www.fbody.com/calc.htm
I punched in some of your #'s and there was no way you were going 130 with gears that big. Your speedometer is definitly off, like you said.
