Shortys or Long Tubes?? Hmmmm...

I wanna install headers for my next up grade. I wanted to go for the Hooker Long tubes, but I've been told that you have to relocate AC Comprssor, rip out the emmisions crap, and you lose alot of ground clearance. I live in Fla with no emmisions, so I got no problem tossing all of that extra weight, but I'm also gonna install QA1 Adjustable shocks, lowering springs and 18" ZO6 Wheels, so ground clearance is gonna be a concern. What Shorty headers are gonna give me the most bang for my broke ***???

You don't have to relocate anything with the long tubes. Also you can buy them with all the emmissions stuff, it's an extra charge but it is possible. Like you said though, it will cost you some ground clearance, I'm not sure how much though.

If you want to go midlenghts, I'm sold on the SLPs, I have them and they rock. Try to find a used set for cheap. You can also get some Macs for a reasonable price.

I just barely purchased a set of hooker long tubes. Had I decided to go with shorty headers it would definatly be a set of az speed and marine headers. They are great quality and from what I hear they have decent gains.
