Shorties V. Long Tubes

Hey Board-

I have edelbrock shorties on my 94 LT1 M6 Camaro. I am thinking of swapping them out in favor of hooker long tubes. What kinda power difference am I gonna see?

I have a hotcam kit and FIPK and 2OTL catback - 309 RWHP (dynojet) with current setup.

Any way that some stage 2 heads and long tubes would get me to 400 RWHP?

Thanks for the input.

Don't think it will get to 400rwhp, but definitly go with the LTs! The power difference is amazing, don't know numbers though. I helpa family member put LTs in his 1996 Z/28 after having RKs and the difference was like day and night. As soon as I am permently in Florida, LTs here I come!

I pulled 367 rwhp 355 rwtq un tuned severe lean issues..

I ran SLP shorties and gained like 1 rwtq so shorties r junk IMO, With long tubes i dont run cats, since the Y-pipe wont allow room for it, but a single Cat could pass you i suppose.. YAY TO NO EMISIONS TESTING IN MINNESOTA....

well i have a 1994 z28 with the hot cam kit along with the same edelbrock shorty headers that you have i dynoed 337 rwhp with cut out open and 332rwhp with cut out closed. i loved my shorty headers, but last week i got some jet hot long tubes on my car now, they are amazing. at first it felt like i lost alot of low end power, but that was all physcological because of the sound change of the exhaust the car really pulls even harder now and gets to my 6200-6400 alot faster i would definitely get some longtubes if you do not have to worry about emissions. thank you brian

I believe that only flps pass emissions testing.

Finish Line Performance long tube headers. They come with all the emissions hookups and dual high flow cats. I've passed emissions here in Texas with them, but then again all they did was plug my car into a computer and look for cats
