Shoebox Why is the wholesale price on headliners here so high

You had said earlier a good price would be around 85 bucks wholesale. Every dealer i talk to is telling me much higher. Cheapest price i found yet was 125.00. I dont like these prices one bit. I talked to the guy i bought my car from to see what he could do.

Any tricks to getting a good deal? Thanks a lot

Try Jason Cromer...
He seems to sell in the area of 51-53% of GM list...

Your headliner.. is it torn? missing? or just 'unglued'
Mine is drooping and one day I an going to try to reglue it since it isn't really torn...
1 can 3M adhesive is a lot cheaper than even 85 bux..

Yeah, I would try Jason or Dal. That $85-ish price was based on gmpartsdirect's website, which usually is close to wholesale. Local dealers don't like to give the little guy a good deal. $125 sounds more like list price.

Just call the dealer and saying you're with a popular shop and you'll get get away with their discount Oh and say you'll come and pick it up.

what happened was the girl who had the car before me, tried to clean the headliner, right around the edges on the pasenger side, stupid me tried to clean the edges around the driver side. When this heat broke out, all hell broke loose with the headliner, right around the edges by the t-top. That, and people always sticking there hands out the t-tops, resting on the headliner.

I thought about recoving it, but i dont know if the board can stand up to the scrapping to get the foam off of it. that and the 4th gen headliner has some wild curves by where the seatbelts go into it, Its not flat like my 88' caprices was.

Word to the wise, Do not attempt to clean your headliner, and if anyone, Unless it is an extremly hot chick sticks there hand out opf the tops, smack them.
