I put in a new vats module the car will run now
thanks alot but now A nother problem accured My radio will not turn on and the courtesy lights stay on no matter what and the rear the electric hatch release to the back also doesn't operate correctly. All small problems that can be worked out I hope. Do you have any idea of what is causeing this. I really apperciate all the help you have giving me.

It is important to have the year model when looking up wiring diagrams.
If you put in a new module and have the security light flashing, your new module is not programmed and you have a problem with it not reading the key. (Maybe that was the original problem -I don't remember) When a new module is installed, it will read the key resistance and program itself to it. It will only do that once. The new module cannot program itself to the key if it cannot read it.
You need to make sure your key is ok. If it is, then you need to test the harness from the key cylinder to the connector at the bottom of the steering column (plug with wht/blk, ppl/wht wires in it). If it is bad, you can either replace it or bypass it with a resistor to match your key pellet resistance. Your key cylinder may just be dirty, too.
