Angry Shoebox, Brake Problem Question

I've posted this before, but still cant figure out what is wrong. car has 124K, usually under hard braking there is a point when the pedal is being pushed where I can feel it click, and the brake light comes on. feels like the pedal get softer after it clicks and the light comes on. If the Brake light comes on when i come to a complete stop, i can let off the pedal and keep clicking the light on and off...Anyways i checked a shop manual to figure out the problem. Checked for leaking brake lines...NONE- Replaced master cylinder with new GM one was bench bled and all. Bleeded all 4 brakes and there was like no air in the system(have done that several times) My work also plugged it into the Tech 2 and came up with no readings

What else could be causing my brake light to come on and off when the pedal reaches a certain point...any ideas?
someone has told me a piston in a caliper is bad???.. i am clueless

Don't have a good answer for you, yet. I, too, would have suspected the master cylinder first.

If the pedal does not hold, fluid has to be going somewhere it shouldn't go.

the car stops ok, but not the greatest. i just want to get rid of this annoying problem

Im not sure about the fourth gens but underneath the drivers side near the brake pedal, thier is a white peice of plastic that looks almost like a hand gun in shape. WHen the brake pedal is pushed off the "gun" at the tip pushes away because the brake pedal is coming off of it which triggers your brake lights, look underneath and check that. The clicking may be a relay.

What I meant was that it usually takes a lot of travel of the pedal for the brake light to come on. Anyway, it could be because of a pressure differential between front and rear. You should probably inspect all calipers and make sure you don't have a stuck piston.

yea like when the pedal is about halfway down, the brake pedal will have a "clicking" feel to it and gets softer, the light comes on...

is there a way to fix a stuck piston on a caliper, or do i just replace it.
also how do you check pressure between fronts and rears.

thanks for your help

im asking for any info possible cause im stumped and brakes are kinda important

You can rebuild or replace a caliper. The thing is to see if it is sticking. The piston should be able to be manipulated back and forth in the bore.
