Shifter hangs?

My car has 104k miles on it and when I shift there is a brief stop or hang in neutral. This is there no matter what gear I am shifting to. It really makes shifting quick at the track tough. Its like when I go to shift it goes click(neutral) click(gear). How do I make it glide right through neutral and into gear?

the stops on the t56 are internal as opposed to being adjustable through the shifter, yours may be jacked up from 100k of abuse and causing the problems you refer too.

The guy I bought it from babied it, is there anything else that could cause this? Its driving me nuts, but Im not positive a Pro 5.0 will eliminate the problem if its internal.

The T-56 is notchy to begin with. If you're trying to get a butter smooth shift between gears, I don't think it's going to happen. I've had three cars with the T-56, one of which was brand new, and they all felt the same.
