Shift points for '96 Z28 A4?

Does anyone know at what rpms/mph does the automatic tranny shifts gears at WOT?

If I accelerate my car rapidly It feels like it won't shift properly from 3rd to 4th. I have to let off the gas a bit so it will upshift. I want to compare it to some info to check if the previous owner reprogrammed the shift points or something.

Have you checked the fluid level?

It sounds like your tranny is slipping and it's on it's way out. My car felt the same before my tranny went out.

Someone sent me an Excel spreadsheet with the stock shifts at WOT with an A4 and 2.73s. Maybe someone else can confirm:

WOT Shift mph
1-2 48
2-3 92
3-4 150

2-1 29
3-2 86
4-3 142

yeah my tranny wont shift at WOT either...someone told me it could also be clogging going on. When the car comes out, im going to put new fluid, a bit more extra, then throw a tci shift kit in it and change the valve., also with a pcm tune for the summer ill see where it leaves me

My fluid it's ok (I'm gonna re-check it again tomorrow), the tranny was serviced about 2 months ago with the appropiate fluid and new filter. It shifts OK and feels solid. Sometimes it feels a bit lazy after some time in the freeway, I'll install a tranny cooler in about 2 weeks just to make sure it's ok.

I'm checking that the table shows a 92mph 2-3 shift... I've been going up to 75 or so and no shift so maybe that is the issue, I have to get up to 92. My SLP loudmouth doesn't help to be discreet either...lol

If you have 3.23s (gu5) then it'll shift into 3rd at about 80 mph.

I just checked the stock tune in my 96 Z28
These are the WOT shift MPH for 3.23 gears I found in the stock program:

1-2 : 36 MPH
2-3 : 73 MPH
3-4 : 126 MPH

2-1 : 31 MPH
3-2 : 67 MPH
4-3 : 118 MPH

I guess rear ratio is the first thing we should have asked him.

Interceptor1,

Do you know what gears you have in the rear...2.73s, 3.23s, or higher (numerically)?

good question, I hadn't thought about that factor. The rear end is stock but I'll have to check exactly what's in there.
