Are SFC's necessary w/ 6 point cage?

I plan on doing sfc's soon but the money is very tight and I'd rather not get them just yet. I will be using et streets so I know I'll need some support of the frame at the track but I was thinking the 6 point weld in wolfe bar should be able to handle that at least for the time being. Should I go ahead and get sfc's now or can I afford to wait a month or so?
