How much is the setup worth considering it had less that 1k miles on it?

Well unless the guy has receipts for everything i would just assume the internals are bone stock too. If so you can buy rebuilt stock long blocks for $15-1700 so throw in the price of
hooker LT's $500
CC 305 $200
A better than stock chain if he used one $100-200
Valve springs $150
Electric water pump $150
roller rockers $250

You saved about $400 over buy the parts new, and then you would know what you have.

I'm aware of that but that isn't the norm. Also doubt there are large numbers of people pushing 450rwhp on stock ported LT1 castings and stock short blocks and being streetable. 400rwhp is about the limit of streetable parts using stock stuff.

It turns out that I was told the heads are stock. I did not pay attention. I knew it was too good to be true.

I'm thinking about giving Lloyd Elliot a call now.
