Setup Suggestions????

I am about to start on a new setup for my car and I am going back and forth between a 383 turbo setup or a 396 fogger seup. I wanted to see what you guys think...considering money, hp, build time, etc...you know all the factors that will come into play. Thanks in advance!! I just can't seem to make up my mind.

If you are going to run a P/A you might want to save on the block by running a 355 ci. You can get more for less if you know what I mean. If you are going to run boost Don't forget to factor in the price of a turbo setup. If going N20 you just have to refill the bottles a lot. So it can get up there in price too just not all at once. Turbo cars are a lot harder to tune too.

what are you goals hp wise and what do you want to do with the car?

I think you have the idea of having big ci and P/A as everyone else does. I had the same Idea too. but I still have not put in my 383 ci setup. The 119k stock shortblock is keeping me too happy at the moment.

Plus there are a lot of choices as far as heads and cams go.

Good Luck, Sean

A turbo setup of course is going to cost alot more money and have a longer build time. I think a turbo setup could be more fun to drive and race. The nitrous setup is going t obe easier, cheaper, and still be fun when a huge shot of nitrous gets flowing in a race. I would honestly go with nitrous due to the ease and cost!

whats wrong with going with a 355 and supercharge it. youd be surprised at your time slip. cost of the SC will be exspensive of course...but your gonna love it! if you run a high boost and your idling hard, the sc willl just screak and scream just at idle, its sick

I am looking to get somewhere in the range of about 600-700hp and if I am gonna go to the trouble of rebuilding...I am definately stroking it. I guess I will just go with the 396 fogger idea. That way I can build it quicker, cheaper, and probably tune it easier. Thanks alot, all of your suggestions are helping me out.
