Re: Setting Zero Lash

will I be able to go buy universal clips or are they brand-specific to stop the oil from going all over (i'll probably just use the newspaper)

Re: Setting Zero Lash

finally got everything done last night and ran into another problem once i had it running. i thought since there was oil on basically everything that it was just burning off the belt so i let it idle for maybe 15 minutes. i go back to my garage and its still doing it so i knew something was wrong. i jack up the car and 10 minutes later check the tensionor pully and i had to take it off to get the plugs on the opti and i guess i did something wrong when putting it back on because it wouldn't spin freely. it was frozen stuck and the belt was roasting over top of it, now the pulley is seized and i'll need a new one of those. stupid question but how do you install this pulley tight so it stays on but loose enough so it will spin?? seems like the thrust washer wasn't doing what it was supposed to. please help!!
