SES related with MAF sensor, please help.

I scanned a friends 97 z with an SES and found that its code p0100 if I remember correctly which is MAF sensor related. The MAF reading was constant at 0.342 or something. Well, he swapped the sensor with another friend and both cars were OK. A week later he has the same problem.
I could only think of a bad connection or something with the wires, could there be anything else to check
Thanks

I would guess a connection problem. There have been cases of the MAF losing power (pink wire). Be sure to check that carefully.
