Lightbulb SES Low Activity 1&2 Rear

OK,

I have tried to get my answers from other posts, but had no luck. Sorry to add another post about this.

I have no cats and a SES light.

So, I purchased and installed 02 sims. Reconnect the battery after 30 min, drive down road- SES comes back on. Pull the codes 140 AND 160 Both banks rear low activity.

I remove the codes with code reader, pull PCM Batt fuse. SES returns shortly after driving. Same codes again.

Any advice Please.

What exactly does low activity mean? What can I do to make this SES stay off?

Thanks

As far as I know. I bought them from a member on this board, so I would say yes they are the right kind.

Dumb ? #1: This is probably a dumb question, but did you install the sims on your REAR O2 sensor connectors?

Dumb ? #2: Depending on the kind, you did install them onto the wires that go back to the PCM, not the O-sensor wires, right?

It appears that your sims are not working. Check the wiring, and if you have a scanner, then watch the rear O2 sensors to see if you see the voltage varying.

Re: SES Low Activity 1&2 Rear

I installed them just after where the cats were by unplugging the O2 sensor and plugging in the sims. Is this correct?

Depending on the kind, you did install them onto the wires that go back to the PCM, not the O-sensor wires, right?
Please Explain more. I separated the connection of the cable at the sensor, then replaced it with the SIM.

I have no scanner to monitor O2s. Are there measurements that can be taken to see if the SIMs are working properly?

Yeah, I may be looking at a PCM adjustment soon.

Just get the PCM tuned. It's $80 from MadZ28.com and you can also have other stuff programmed. Go to their website and read about it. I think they say you'll gain about 13HP by playing with the fuel ratio and other stuff like shift points and firmness and so on....

BTW, BadBowS10, you are correct.
