ses light when cold?

My ses light comes on when the car is cold? when the gauge gets to th e1/4 mark, the light will go out. This happens every day. I tried to get it scaned at autozone, but they said they can on scan if the ses light is on. ( by the time i get there the light is off) Has anyone had this problem? The car has new o2s,wires,plugs,opti,w.p,t-stat.
Thanks Chad

They can scan it any time... the trouble code stays "stored" in the PCM for a large number of drive cycles, before it is cleared. They're just bein' lazy.

I'll bet its the AIR pump, and the fuse is blown. Check it out. Of course a wild a$$ guess is no substitute for a real scan.

Autozone can't scan OBDI, only OBDII. BTW, I had a 1986 Honda Hurricane for 2 years. It was the first CBR600F1. I know you enjoy yours. Good luck.

So your saying you are positive that no AutoZone in the entire US owns an OBD-I scanner?
