my ses light only comes on if my car sits and idles. i can drive 100 miles and never stop no light. if i pull up and park, let the car idle for 5 minutes or so the ses light comes on. why doesnt it pop on while driving?

 

The obvious thing to do when you get a SES light is to have it scanned. That will tell you exactly why it came on.
