SES Light. No Code. Crap MPG.
Just recently my SES light is popping on about 10 seconds after startup. If I shut the car down 30 seconds after the light (when the car is still really cold) when the SES light is on, I can hear the fan breezing to a stop when the motor is cut. I checked all my fuses in the engine bay. My airpump is unhooked with a fresh fuse, so I don't know what this could be. I do have an A/F Guage and for some reason its staying at a base rate all the time. When I didn't have an SES light it would bounce around like it was supposed too. Now it just stays up in the rich area. I changed my MAF with another car, reset my computer. Same light. o2 sensors were used from another car (not that old), but what I don't get it is when Bryan from pcmforless scanned my car, no codes showed up.
Out of about 14 gallons, I got 130 miles or so out of it. This is with mixed highway/town-city. Shifting at 2,200 or less, and on the highway sitting at about 2,400rpm (with 4.10's). The first time this light popped on was after a ran through the gears 1-3 and let off, it popped on immediately after I let off the gas.
Let me know,
Corey

I am currently experinceing the same problem on my 95. Is there anyway to check the EGR valve... My light is on CONSTANTLY I thought if it were a problem with the EGR it would intermittently go on and off while driving?

I am not exactly sure about ur EGR problem. I don't have any emission components. Don't 94+ cars have heated o2's already? I thought that was a 93 problem. How would I heat the o2's then?
