SES Light Help

I had my SES light come on a few days ago and finally got to autozone to get it scanned. It's throwing a P0400 code EGR flow malfunction. what does that mean and how do i fix it.

What does your exhaust system look like? If you have a low restriction exhaust, that code is often caused by inadequate EGR flow, due to the reduce backpressure in the system. If you have stock exhaust, I believe there was a recall on some of the OBD-II EGR systems.

If your car isn't covered under the recall, just remove the EGR valve and clean it with some carb cleaner, carbon buildup may be causing it to stick.

same thing happened with my car. Just got it scanned at auto zone yesterday. So just take the egr valve out and clean it with carb cleaner? Sounds easy enough but my question is how do you get to it? That thing is really back there. I can barely even get my hand back there.
