Code P0400: EGR Flow Malfunction...is this for the recall? HELP 911911

I had my first SES light come on in the Silver Z yesterday. I had it scanned at Auto Zone, and the code P0400 : EGR Flow Malfunction came up. It said there was 2 codes, but only this showed up
Anyways, I was wondering if anybody had this code or knows what it means?
Also, is this the code for the EGR Recall?
If anybody can help out, that would be great!
Thanks,
Tone

The 400 usually means the EGR valve is malfunctioning. Yes, it probably is covered by the recall.

It should be covered under warranty, but if not, I'd just try cleaning it with some carb cleaner before you buy a new one.

I'm definitly not going to buy a new one! I know there is a recall for the EGR of some kind, but you have to have a SES light to prove it (not like the AIR recall where you get it done light or no light), so hopefully today it will get fixed!
I was just wondering if anybody actually had this code before, and what they did about it!
Thanks for the replies though!

I just spoke with the dealer, and they tried to tell me that there is not a recall of any kind for the EGR. He said that they would take a look at it. And if it is under warranty, then it will get fixed. If it is not under warranty, then I have to pay $50 for them to figure it out, and then I have to pay them for the actual labor.....WTF?????
So is there a EGR recall FOR SURE??????
I have read about it many times, and my roommate has spoke with the same dealer about it for his car, so I don't kow why he would say that.
I DON'T want to go in there and the code P0400 isn't the code for the free recall.
Has anybody had this code, and got the recall done for free?
PLEASE...I would like to take care of this right now, but I want to make sure first!
Thanks

When i had my po400 code i had heard about a recall for the egr--i called my GM dealer with my vin number in hand, it was covered under the "recall"--i got a 97 Z-28-but i couldnt tell you if its still in effect-That didnt help my particular po400 code, mine was a header issue. Dwayne
