ses light code 32

I got a code 32: EGR Sysem Fault

So far I manually opened the EGR Valve with the car running and it wanted to die so I let go and went back to a normal idel. So I am assuming the valve is closing all the way.

What should I check next?

Also what are some symptoms of a bad egr vlave? Because some times I have a high end stutter, just wondering if it could be related to this

What you've done so far is more than most and I think it's great you didn't just go out and buy an EGR. 3 more things you want to check.
Be sure the ports for the EGR are not clogged.
Apply a vacuum to the EGR diaphragm and be sure the pintle moves and the diaphragm will hold vacuum.
Confirm that when ground is applied to the grey wire on the EGR solenoid, that it opens.

If I have time this weekend, I will pull off the EGR Valve and see how dirty it is and clean it up if necessary
