Strange: Exhaust Pop at Warm Idle
Strange: Exhaust Pop at Warm Idle
well, I am getting a "pop" noise comming out of my exhaust after the car is warmed up. The car runs in open loop, so no 02 sensor could be, or causing the problem. I already tried the following:
1.) leaned the car out= No fix
2.) Richened the car up= No fix
3.) uped the timing= No fix
4.) decreased the timing=No fix
The car is not getting any knock retard that could be causing this, and the rpm's are staying stable. If I barely tap the gas peddle (very slightly and quick) a "miss" or "stumble" is present. What else should I check for? Plugs? Wires? Arching? Please help..

Adjust your valves correctly and check your plug wires for cross fire. Make sure they are 1/2" apart. 5&7 crossed or wire jumping will cause that.
