Re: SES light

It shouldn't have come on for some thing like that unless it set off a fault some where which seems odd. OBD1 cars (95 and older) generally set off codes when an open or a short is detected, it does set off other codes as well though so don't think it couldn't be some thing else.

Re: SES light

i dont know cause it only went on when drove at low rpms and it would take about a mile to turn on. i tried to replicate it after it happend and the same thing happend the ses light would appear untill i turned off the car. it seems like the light wont light unless i would try to make it light. do you think i should try to make the ses light up again and take it to avanced auto or auto zone??

Re: SES light

A low RPM SES light might be related to the EGR valve. But you don't have to guess.... the code that turned on the SES light is still stored in the PCM, and can be recalled with a scanner, as long as you don't wait too long.
