Red face Serpentine belt with UD pulleys??

OK, I have the MBA underdrive pulley and alt. overdrive pulley with the 59" 6-rib belt and I noticed that it flaps a lot at idle. Also when Im turnin, it's very rigid and doesn't want to, I dont need this problem to cause an accident...I'll go back to the stock pulleys if need be Anyone have a solution, I don't know of any 6-rib belts smaller then 59"

Sounds like the tensioner pulley isn't in the right positon, probably from too long a belt. If you look at the tensioner pulley, you will see that there are "marks" on the spring housing, and a pointer on the part that moves. The pointer needs to be between the marks, or you will not have correct tension.

OK, I'll check that out later and see if that's the problem...what if it's not between the marks, will I need a new tensioner?

No... you will need a new, shorter belt. It's slipping.

I can't find anything shorter than a 59" in a 6 rib though
