I think the GU coding is attached to the 7.5 rear, no matter what the vehicle. My S-10 has GU6 gears.

Just so you know. In my opinion there is no need to upgrade to a series 3 carrier. The only reason a series 3 carrier is better is because there is a better gear selection (brand wise) available. I have a series 2 carrier with Strange gears and am pushing over 550 rwhp with no problems.
