Re: sensor name

It's not a sensor, it's the optispark connector.

Re: sensor name

The clip broke off of it so it can't snap on and wiggles out and SES comes on and throws a code about to few signals.

I belive that the optispark plug is a pigtail... and I KNOW they charge an arm and a leg for this 1' pigtail. (300$ish!!)

nope, if it is for the 96 in his sig, dealer is around $90 IIRC, but it is half that here

Re: sensor name

You mean the little tit that fits into the bracket broke off? If that's all, use a nylon tie to hold it to the bracket. Maybe when it falls loose, it gets too close to the injector wires and starts to pick up electronic "noise", causing the code (what was the actual code you got?). A lot cheaper than buying a new harness. Unless the plug itself is somehow damaged or corroded, it shouldn't be a problem.

It is p/n 12130319 from GM and the cost on it is about $76. The one posted above by Dave89IROC seems to be a good deal to me. I think I might get one of those, too. My clip has been broken for some time.
